At Shougang Group, Party Secretary and Chairman Zhao Minge conducted a special inspection focused on advancing the company’s 15th Five-Year Plan for the new materials sector and promoting education on the correct view of performance. During the visit, Zhao toured Shougang Jitai’an’s centralized control center and wire-drawing workshop, where he reviewed digital transformation initiatives, AI large-model applications, and the production and operation of electrothermal materials.

Zhao emphasized that new materials have become one of China’s strategic emerging industries and that Shougang must seize opportunities arising from industrial restructuring. He called for a “four-wheel drive” development strategy built on capital empowerment, ecosystem collaboration, innovation, and policy support to enhance competitiveness and accelerate growth. He also stressed the importance of leveraging digital intelligence and integrating AI technologies into research, development, and production.According to Zhao, a correct view of performance should ultimately be reflected in solving practical problems and generating tangible business results. The lecture focused on three fundamental questions: For whom should achievements be pursued? What kind of achievements should be pursued? And by what means should achievements be achieved?Tan emphasized that benefiting the people represents the highest achievement and that high-quality development must become a central component of leadership performance evaluation. He stressed that genuine accomplishments can only be achieved through hard work and practical action.

The conference called for integrating the principles of the correct view of performance into workplace safety, reform and development, technological innovation, and cost-reduction initiatives, ensuring that educational outcomes translate into measurable progress in enterprise development.

HBIS Group’s Party Committee Theoretical Learning Center Group recently held a special study seminar focused on strengthening the competitiveness of the steel business and promoting high-quality development.HBIS Chairman Liu Jian stated that a correct view of performance serves as a value-based guide for high-quality development and that the ability to promote sustainable growth is the key criterion for evaluating leadership performance.

Baogang Group recently held a warning education conference featuring analyses of typical negative cases related to performance evaluation and leadership conduct.Meng Fanying, Party Secretary and Chairwoman of Baogang Group, noted that distorted views of performance can undermine high-quality development, harm employee interests, and damage a healthy corporate culture.She urged Party members and managers to draw lessons from these cases, adhere to the principles of serving the public interest, benefiting employees, making scientific decisions, and pursuing practical results through hard work.
